  • Fees are non-refundable.

  • Invoices are emailed through our dance studio software – Dance Studio Pro, and a current email address must be provided at time of enrolment.

  • Part payment of fees will not be accepted unless Tanya has been consulted first.

  • Discounts apply to members of the same family and students participating in more than one class at Dance Action. The discount is $15 off per extra family member eg. for 2 children the discount would be $15, and for a family where 3 children are attending the discount would be $30.There is a $10 discount for students who attend an extra class eg a student who attends Boys Hip Hop/Breakdancing and Acro receives the $10 discount.

  • Discounts will only be applicable if full amount of fees are paid by the due date. (part payment of fees will not attract the discount)

  • Private lessons must be paid for on the day of the lesson. Payment via EFT must be paid before the lesson date to allow funds to appear in Dance Action account.

  • Families cannot be compensated for missed classes for any reason (unless a class was cancelled), but are offered the opportunity to make up missed lessons (see below).

  • Make-up class policy - a student is permitted to do up to 2 make-up classes per term and only for absences during that term. You will be given options for appropriate classes to make up. Make-up classes must be booked. During term 4, due to concert rehearsals, make up classes can only be taken after the concert. We have a limited timetable so can only offer make-up classes that are timetabled classes.

Extras

All Dance Action students are encouraged to participate in the full year of classes and in the end of year showcases. Students are required to attend extra rehearsals (outside of class time) including a dress rehearsal and rehearsal at the venue. Our term 4 can often be only 8 weeks but includes the extra rehearsals in the fee structure. Costumes are required for the concerts and are hired from Dance Action. At times students are also asked to provide their own portions of costumes. Hiring fees range between $10 and $30 per costume

By signing the following you agree to all the above Terms and Conditions for enrolment at Dance Action as detailed in the Information booklet including the Fees page, Class Rules and Etiquette page and information above. Extra COVID safe terms and conditions

Dance Action students must not attend class if they are unwell.

Students are permitted to do up to 2 make-up classes in a term if they have been absent and must book in to do a make-up class.

There will be no refunds for students not attending class due to illness and/or if government restrictions require us to stop face to face learning. If government restrictions require us to close our doors we will immediately revert to online learning or freeze enrolment until we are permitted to return. By enrolling or continuing enrolment with Dance Action you are agreeing to these conditions and understand that you will not be refunded for any fees paid.

If you have recently changed phone numbers please send us a quick email or text your new number to us so we have this for any contact tracing purposes.

Students must wait outside for their class to start and the teacher will collect them from outside and then walk them out to the car park at the end of class.

We are only permitted to have students in the hall at this time and are unable to allow parents, family, or friends to watch classes. Our 3-5yrs Lil Bros classes are permitted to have one parent/carer per child in the class.

We ask that if students are coming directly from school that they change either in the car or in our bathroom outside.

We ask that while waiting for your child to finish class that you wait in your car and we will accompany the children out to the carpark.

If your child has been feeling unwell, including fever, cough, sore throat, we ask that you keep them at home, rather than attend class and let us know via text so we are not waiting for them to arrive.

Students should not bring a bag with them into class. Only water bottle with name on it.

When students arrive at Dance Action they will be required to use the hand sanitizer at the door

Before and in between each class we will be cleaning.

Students are advised to sneeze or cough into a tissue or their arm and dispose of tissue immediately. We have tissues at the studio.

We have social distancing marks on the floor and will talk this through with new and returning students in a very calm and assuring way prior to each class starting

Class Etiquette

COVID RESTRICTIONS WILL AFFECT THESE RULES AND ETIQUETTE. ANY CHANGES WILL BE COMMUNICATED VIA EMAIL
  • Students should arrive on time to classes. If arriving late students risk injury from missing crucial warm-up period.

  • Parents are permitted to watch classes only when a student is new to Dance Action classes and only for the first 2 weeks. While watching people are asked to turn off mobile phones, refrain from talking, and not allow siblings or others watching to join in class (for safety reasons). Please do not “coach” students while they are in class. Watching is subject to COVID restrictions.

  • Dance Action has Open Weeks at the end of Term’s 1, 2 and 3. Parents, siblings, relatives and friends are invited to watch classes during this week. If a relative or friend is visiting and wishes to watch a class outside of normal times please call or text Tanya before the class to ensure it will be ok. Subject to COVID restrictions.

  • Students should be collected immediately after class finishes. If the person picking up a student is late, students must wait in the studio until they are collected. Where possible Tanya should be called or messaged (on 0412 187 516), so that a student does not become anxious while waiting.

  • Students should not be dropped off earlier than 15 minutes before class.

  • Please park LEGALLY when dropping off or picking up students. Please do not park in driveways. Please be aware of children in the carpark.

  • Students are not permitted to eat during class but may bring water bottles. Please do not bring any snacks containing nuts to class.

  • Students cannot be dropped off early to wait during a sibling’s class for their own class to start. Only students participating in a class may be present during that time.

  • Please make sure that all uniform requirements are adhered to. Students must have required shoes and clothing after enrolment. Hair must be back off the face for safety reasons.

  • If a student has an injury, of any sort, prior to starting class, the teacher must be informed. A teacher cannot be expected to diagnose and treat any injuries that occurred outside of a class situation.

  • Respectful behaviour is expected from all students and parents.

  • If you have any problems at all please organise an appropriate time to talk to Tanya rather than in between classes or just before a class starts.

  • If it is necessary to pick up a child earlier than normal finishing time please advise the teacher BEFORE a class starts to avoid interruptions.

  • Classes at Dance Action are conducted Monday to Saturday. Any text messages or phone calls on a Sunday will be attended to on the Monday (unless it is an emergency).
